Eliška Kacvinský Judová, ELAJEDIOVA – Riso posters from my studio in Prague
Eliška Kacvinský Judová · Illustrator and riso printer
I'm Eliška Kacvinský Judová, an illustrator based in Prague. Under the name ELAJEDIOVA I draw animals and plants and print them as riso posters on my own risograph.
Fluorescent inks, a fine grain and small shifts between the layers make every print one of a kind. I print the A4 and A3 posters in small editions and send them all over Europe.

By hand, in my studio
I draw, print and trim every poster myself, in a small studio in Vršovice, Prague.
I print using risography, colour by colour: the sheets dry between colours, then I trim and sign them. That is why they come in small editions and every print is a little different.

Risography is printing on a risograph, a Japanese machine that looks like a photocopier but prints more like a small screen-printing press. Every colour has its own drum with real ink that soaks into the paper. That is why riso prints have rich, often fluorescent colours, a fine grain and small shifts in registration, so no two prints are quite the same.
I print my riso posters on a Riso EZ 571 risograph in my studio in Vršovice, Prague. I draw every motif myself, separate it into colours and print it in small editions. An A4 or A3 riso poster is an original print at an affordable price, for your home, your studio or as a gift.
